Event description

Take advantage of the mid-summer season with this workshop devoted to healing tea herbs, long standing traditions and the simple enjoyment of a cup of tea. In this workshop, each attendee will learn about growing tea herbs, basic harvesting and drying techniques and delicious tea blend suggestions. Taking the workshop from our farm to your cup, each participant will bring home one of Gateway Farm's signature tea blends.

There will be light refreshments, including Gateway iced tea. Feel free to bring your own food and drinks.

All levels of experience are welcome.

All ages are welcome. Youth 15 years old and younger must be accompanied by an adult. Children 5 and under are included in the price of a caregiver ticket. Please supervise younger children.

Community Up-Skilling Events are a collaboration between Garden Juju Collective and Gateway Farm and take place at Gateway’s beautiful, abundant, permaculture-inspired, regenerative farm ‘hub’.

Images, recordings, and audio may be used for promotional purposes, both in print and online, including our social media channels and documentaries.

If this is a matter of concern, please inform event staff upon arrival and we will put every effort into accommodating you. We can avoid closeups but while we will do our best, we cannot make a guarantee with wide, group shots. Our staff will avoid children’s faces unless there has been expressed guardian consent. Refund policy

Should inclement weather prevent an outdoor Garden Juju Collective/Gateway Farm Hub event, we will attempt to move to an indoor location at the farm, such as the Wild Fig Event Space or barn. If we feel it is unsafe for the public and our staff, we will do our best to reschedule and alert attendees via email and when necessary to the community on social media. A decision regarding cancellation will be made as soon as possible in advance of the event. If inclement weather causes an event to be canceled or rescheduled once the event has already started, we will offer ticket holders the opportunity to transfer to the rescheduled date or receive a refund. Other extenuating circumstances may still result in a cancellation of an event, whereby refunds will be issued. If you are unable to attend the rescheduled date or choose not to, we will refund the face value of your ticket(s). We regret that we are unable to exchange tickets for a different event. Service fees are non-refundable. No refunds or exchanges can be offered for an event that has not been canceled or rescheduled.

Bridget O’Brien and Dr Charlie Brennan lead a team – of designers, experts, skilled practitioners, tradespeople and passionate workers – that we have come to call Garden Juju Collective.

We have many years of experience in a wide range of projects, clients, places, challenges, opportunities and solutions. Charlie and Bridget also travel widely, visiting, acknowledging and learning from as many successful projects as they can. We are dedicated to finding ways to sustain, regenerate and heal places, communities and people. We specialize in creating ways to put aims, ideas, dreams and desires into action. To make it happen!

Garden Juju Collective offers a range of in-person and online workshops, presentations, services and packages. These draw together design, facilitation, social ecology, food justice permaculture, conservation, re-wilding, sustainability, environmental education, ecopsychology and deep respect for Indigenous land and culture.

Fully aware of the difficult times we live in, Bridget and Charlie create, travel and teach to support empowered change – to inspire and for the sheer joy of it all.
