TEA MEDITATION: "HARMONY"
Event description
Come as you are.
An invitation to rest, just as you are.
We are linked to Nature, the Seasons and each other. May we find sanctuary in this connection through the ritual of tea.
.
Tea Meditation
The curls of steam, the sound of water boiling. The scent of incense. The gentle pace of the infusion. The aromas and flavours of hand-picked leaves that build and evolve with each steep.
Join us for a meditative practice of Gong Fu Cha, a traditional Chinese tea brewing method that emphasises our connection to Nature and the Seasons.
Sample carefully curated tea as you share a slow, meditative cup and embark on a journey of tranquillity and sensory awakening.
Tea is an offering. An invitation. A welcome. A language without words.
The leaf is a connection. To Nature. To Community. To Self.
Rest and reconnect with this warming, heart-centred meditation.
.
What to expect
Begin. Rest into presence with a gentle guided meditation.
Pause. Be guided through the 5 senses to ease the body.
Sight, sound, smell, touch. And with tea, the final sensory grounding of taste.
Nourish. Explore tea that is carefully curated and matched with the Season. Using the ritual of Gong Fu Cha brewing, each infusion invites us to explore the evolution of the leaf.
Small vessels are used to mindfully imbibe scent, colour, texture, sound and flavour.
The blossoming of the leaf is savoured slowly.
Rest. Trace the journey of the leaf: a restful pause for both the body and mind.
Gently cultivate your connection and flow. Close with gentle discourse, or gently linger in the silence. The choice is yours.

Your Guide
Hello, friend. I'm Po-Tien. I'm an accredited meditation teacher, a Northern Beaches local, and a forever-student of tea and tea culture. Tea is part of my heritage, and a compassionate part of global culture. I teach meditation and offer tea as The Mindful Cup. I guide meditations and share tea as a way to build Community, nurture compassion and foster connection. All are warmly welcomed to my tea table.
.
Location
Hold Space Studio is located in Dee Why, on the Aboriginal lands of the Gaymayragal and Gadigal people. I am grateful to share my cultural practice on these lands, and I respectfully bow to the Traditional Custodians, and to Elders past and present, to communities still here. I acknowledge their living connection to Country, culture and spirit. I extend that respect to solidarity - to uplift and listen.
