Chris’s session will demystify quantum computing for educators, offering practical insights into how quantum computers work and how these concepts can be introduced in classrooms. Known for his engaging style and deep expertise, Chris brings both clarity and enthusiasm to one of the most exciting frontiers in science.

The session is free and open to all educators, particularly in the fields of Science, Mathematics and Digital Technologies. A light afternoon tea will be provided. Please RSVP by 15 September.

About Chris

Chris Ferrie is a quantum physicist at the University of Technology Sydney, where he researches and lectures on quantum physics, computation, and engineering. With a PhD in Mathematical Physics from the University of Waterloo, Canada, Chris has built a career at the cutting edge of quantum science, focusing on quantum information and the development of intelligent quantum devices.

Beyond academia, Chris is internationally renowned for his ability to make complex scientific ideas accessible and engaging. He is the creator of the "Baby University" book series, including the bestselling 'Quantum Physics for Babies', which has introduced thousands of young minds—and their parents—to the wonders of science.
