Teaching and Learning Leaders Conference
Event description
Teaching and Learning Leaders Conference
Over the past four years, working together with schools, the SACE Board has been testing different approaches to teaching, learning and assessment, and discovered the most impactful strategies from their experience on the ground.
What emerged was the value of capabilities, students’ active role in their own learning, and how they showcase what they know and can do. These strategies enable us to get to the heart of what we are collectively trying to achieve for every student.
The SACE Board Strategic Plan 2024 - 2027 - Passport to Thrive - describes how the SACE Board and school communities can collaborate to create adaptable learning pathways for life.
This professional learning event is for senior years Teaching and Learning Leaders (sometimes known as Curriculum Directors, Head of Senior School or other titles).
Our event will focus on pilot schools sharing their real stories and successes from the SACE Board's education initiatives:
* Activating Identities and Futures
* Capabilities and Learner Profile
* Recognition of Aboriginal Cultural Knowledge and Learning
Irrespective of your school’s involvement in SACE Board pilots, this event is for all leaders to authentically engage, learn more about what is practically required to lead the change, and to provide feedback to the SACE Board.
The day will focus on SACE Board directions, actively reflecting on the challenges they may potentially raise for schools and considering how to make our next steps practical.
