Event description

Join Dr Amy Jackett in a guided tour of this year's Hadleys Art Prize and Sarah Brooke for an exploration of the accompanying education resources developed in collaboration with Art Education Australia. Following your tour of the exhibition, participants will be led through an immersive gallery-based drawing activity and discussion of possibilities for utilising this year’s education resources in the classroom, including insights for engaging with the exhibition both in-person and online. 

Dr Amy Jackett is Curator of the Hadley's Art Prize and Director of Art and Cultural Experiences at Hadley's Orient Hotel and The Old Woolstore Apartment Hotel. She is passionate about art education and making art accessible.

Sarah Brooke is a Graduate Teaching Fellow and PhD candidate at the University of Tasmania, conducting visual arts education research with the School of Education. Sarah has extensive experience as a specialist visual arts teacher in a primary, secondary and senior secondary context with the Department of Children and Young People, Tasmania. She has a passion and focus for enhancing visual arts education within her community. Sarah is also President of the Tasmanian Arts Teachers Association and Secretary for Art Education Australia.
