Teaching Indigenous Perspectives by ‘Learning on Country’ – for all educators

On Wednesday 19 March RSS will be hosting an Online Workshop focusing on how to teach Indigenous perspectives to students. This Workshop is for Educators from all backgrounds to encourage Indigenous Education in all schools throughout Victoria.
Dr Josh Cubillo, a Larrakia, Wadjigan, and Central Arrernte man, will share his place-based approach to Indigenous Education. With detailed insight into ‘Learning on Country’ Josh will share how you as an Educator can implement successful strategies for the benefit of students and your school community.
Shauna Hardy, the amazing sustainability lead at Newington Primary school, will then share her experience teaching Indigenous perspectives. Shauna has successfully integrated Indigenous perspectives and sustainability throughout the school curriculum and school grounds, making Newington Primary a safe and inclusive space for all. Learn how Shauna developed and supports the school’s student 'Dream Team' and how you can implement these strategies in your classroom and school.
