TEAM UTOPIA: THE FINAL INSURRECTION
Event description
After 15 years of noise, sweat, chaos and cult worship, Team Utopia is stepping off the battlefield. But not before they torch the stage one last time.
The final Boiler Room gig at HQ Clontarf isn’t a farewell—it’s a riot in celebration of the beautifully broken dream they created.
From sharing stages with Tex Perkins, Hoodoo Gurus, Richie Ramone, and The Living End, to playing to just four punters in a front bar, Team Utopia never flinched. They didn’t follow industry standards—they rewrote the blueprint. “They didn’t follow standards. They set them,” said one longtime industry insider.
Calling Out to the Masses was a political grenade wrapped in melody. Waiting for You and Strips Off My Soul became indie anthems. But beyond the music, TU became a movement—championing youth, giving emerging artists their first stage, and building a community that never took ‘no’ for an answer.
Their guerrilla tactics got them banned, booked, blacklisted—and beloved. They kicked down doors, built their own rooms, and invited the misfits in.
Joining them for this final reckoning: Salt & Steel—the two-piece tsunami who left Rockin’ 4 the Homeless crowd gasping for air.
“This gig is for the believers. The lifers. The ones who stood by us when the lights blew, the sound guy bailed, and the world stopped listening,” said frontman DanDan. “We made it further than we ever dreamed.”
