NZGBC, Zero Carbon – what are we doing !
Sam Archer of NZGBC will review progress on the develop embodied carbon emissions in sustainability ratings over the last 10 yrs. NZGBC has worked on galvanising the industry around common standards of measuring and benchmarking embodied emissions and will discuss where they see this evolving in national policy regarding the Building Code.
Sam will discuss some of the technical challenges in standardising and regulating embodied emissions and what this means for architects over the coming years. He will also provide some insight on how MBIE are progressing their regulatory requirements and what that might mean in terms of timeline.
