Join us at Fishburners' for Tech Talk #6: Unpacking the “5G” in 5G Mobile Edge Computing.

The advent of 5G technology has brought with it numerous opportunities for businesses to build network-aware applications that can take advantage of the speed, low latency, and increased bandwidth of 5G networks. This talk will explore the use of AWS Hybrid Cloud & Edge services to build 5G-aware applications and highlight reference customers across the globe building immersive media experiences, precision ground robotics services and drone-based teleoperations solutions. 

Leave this session with an understanding of: 

  • How mobile networks can become an asset to app-builders.
  • Utilising network APIs such as edge discovery and quality-of-service (QoS) control.
  • Transforming customer experiences. 
  • Digitising industries.

Robert Belson is a Developer Advocate in the AWS Worldwide Telecom Business Unit, specializing in AWS Edge Computing. Currently NYC-based, he focuses on working with the global developer community and large enterprise customers to solve their business challenges using automation, hybrid networking and the edge cloud. Prior to AWS, he led Verizon's 5G Edge Developer Relations & Experience team, focused on building the mobile edge computing ecosystem across solution architecture, field enablement, and developer engagement.
