Learn how to set up, shoot and edit reels in a small interactive group

Join Ted's and Nikon for a hands on experience during this year's Illuminate and learn to plan, shoot and edit to create a 10 second reel for your socials

Camera's and lenses will be provided (if you shoot Nikon Z, you can bring your own)

What you learn will be transferable to other camera systems

Includes a coffee/tea/hot chocolate during the edit process

Planning ahead

• How to identify interesting subjects

• What to take into consideration for time and location

Getting ready

• How to pick the right lens(es)

• How to set up your camera for a smooth workflow

• What to bring

On-site

• How to compose your image, with post processing in mind

• What makes for an interesting composition

• How to position and if needed instruct your model

Edit

• What can you use to edit your footage

• How to apply a quick but effective edit to get your reel ready

What to bring:

Camera: Bring your Nikon Z if you have one; otherwise, cameras will be provided.

Gimbal: Recommended for experienced users wanting stable cinematic footage.

Memory Cards: We suggest V90 SD cards for optimal speed and performance.

Weather-Appropriate Clothing

Spare Batteries: Keep your gear running without interruption.

Editing Device: Bring your laptop, iPad, or notebook and charging cables
