Event description

1 in 6 people are neurodivergent. We have profound strengths, but unfortunately, are also more likely to be unemployed. We need to change employment processes to recruit and retain neurodivergent staff.”

Andrew Pfeiffer is an enthusiastic data leader and a proud advocate for neurodiversity inclusion. In 2019, an unexpected autism diagnosis transformed Andrew’s life by profoundly increasing his self-awareness of his strengths and areas of development. Since then, he has been passionately advocating for the inclusion of neurodivergent staff in the workplace. He cultivates employee resource groups, writes articles about neurodiversity, and delivers regular presentations to stakeholders, including senior executives.

Andrew shared his story and call to action recently at TEDxCanberra 2022: Impact. In this intimate, follow-up event hosted by TEDxCanberra at Work Club Canberra, Andrew will join in conversation with Chun-Yin San, TEDxCanberra's licensee, on the subject of his talk as well as his journey to speaking on the Red Circle.
