TEDxKinjarling is an independently organised event in Albany Western Australia based on the tradition of TED Talks.

TEDxKinjarling will be held at the Albany Town Hall on 25 February, 2023. Local contributions will be submitted for inclusion in the TEDx global online network.

Join us for a panel discussion with 2022 TEDXKinjarling presenters and see where presenting from the 'red dot' has led them this past year. Enjoy an evocative musical performance and wander through a forest of imaginative ideas from local school students on how we can tackle the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. Who knows, after reading them, you may want to contribute your own ideas worth spreading!

About TEDx, x = independently organized event

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TED Talks online and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized, subject to certain rules and regulations.

TEDxKinjarling is run by a committee of local volunteers. Committee members include Kristen Pyrz-Brown, Karen Timmins, Tim Maisey, Kriss Logan, Anne Sparrow and Matt Beamish.

Our first TEDx headline event was held at the Albany Town Hall on 29 January 2022. In the lead-up to, and after, that sold-out event, successful satellite events including TEDxKinjarling Women and Countdown have been held in Albany/Kinjarling.
