TEDxUniversity Of Sydney 2026: In Our Hands
Description
After a sold out show last year, TEDx University of Sydney returns for its 2026 edition at the Julie Wu Theatre, University of Sydney, on Wednesday 14th May.
This year's theme, In Our Hands, is a call to stewardship in a global moment that feels both urgent and unresolved. As we continue to face challenges that are systemic, inherited, and deeply entrenched, we want to share the hope that they are genuinely still changeable. Not by any one person—but by enough of us choosing to act. The future is not fixed, and that uncertainty is exactly what makes this moment matter.
Joining us is a lineup of seven speakers working across science, medicine, climate, entrepreneurship, and mental health:
Peter Le — Content Creator, Medical Student and Entrepreneur
Noushin Nasiri — Professor and Head of NanoTech Laboratory
Wenee Yap & Thomas Derricott — Amazon Best-Selling Authors of Riding the Unicorn
Dr Rachel Menzies — Clinical Psychologist, Author and Researcher
Sangwoo Lee — Master's Student in Brain and Mind Sciences
Sarah Goody — Climate Activist & UC Berkeley Exchange Student
We'd love for you to join us for an unforgettable evening of groundbreaking ideas, vulnerable stories, and talks that just might change how you see things.
Doors open 5:40pm. Open to all students and the wider public.
