Description
Write Like a Riot is a high-energy writing workshop for teens who want to go deeper, presented by Amanda Falson and Aud Pitch of Bad Writers Club. Together with them, you’ll move beyond ‘what happens next’ and into the heart of why you write, what you care about, what you question, and what keeps pulling you back to the page. Through bold, fast-paced exercises and manifesto-style writing, participants will explore voice, theme, and personal perspective, shaping work that feels urgent, honest, and unmistakably their own.
Outcome:
Participants will leave with a strong draft of a personal manifesto piece, along with greater clarity around their creative voice, the themes they’re drawn to, and a renewed sense of purpose – the foundations for becoming a lifelong writer.

Aud Pitch
Aud (they/them) is a Scottish-Indonesian geriatric millennial living in Naarm on the lands of the Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung People. They write smutty romance novels and sling tarot cards—using the latter to plot the former. Their debut novel Devils + Heartbreak is out now.
Amanda Falson
Amanda Falson is a screenwriter, actor, director, and writing coach with a Master’s in Screenwriting. She has worked extensively across theatre and storytelling, including running her own theatre company, Feat Theatre, for six years, where she created and directed original work. With a background as a classical dancer and ballet teacher for over 20 years, Amanda brings a deep understanding of engagement, discipline and creative diversity to her teaching. A graduate of the Australian Writers’ Centre and a certified Beautiful You life coach, Amanda specialises in helping writers develop powerful character arcs, emotional depth, and compelling conflict. Her work as a writing coach and course creator focuses on guiding emerging writers to move beyond self-doubt and into confident, purposeful storytelling. Passionate about transformation on and off the page, Amanda teaches with warmth, insight, and a sharp eye for structure and theme- empowering writers to find their voice, trust their ideas, and take their stories to the next level.
Bad Writers Club
Bad Writers Club is a creative community based in Melbourne’s west, offering supportive, low-pressure spaces for people to write, experiment, and connect. Led by local facilitators Donita Richards, Aud Pitch, and Amanda Falson, BWC runs weekly sessions, workshops, and programs that celebrate courage, curiosity, and the joy of putting words on the page in a safe, judgement-free zone.
