Join Gan where we work through 8 weeks of Drawing Foundations, where we establish a foundation of drawing techniques, exploring the skills learnt through using different mediums.

As the term progresses, we are flexible in our lesson plan and responsive to the wants and needs of the students, adjusting the program to ensure it remains engaging and fulfilling for everyone.

Enrolment in the term includes all materials and tuition, eliminating the need for additional expenses. However, we recommend that students bring their own art smocks to protect their clothing, as creativity can sometimes be a messy endeavour. We also highly encourage senior students to have a journal in which they can express their ideas and practice more in their spare time.

Our outline for this term is:

Building Drawing Foundations

Week 1-2:
Introduction to Drawing
Explore the basics of drawing tools and materials. Learn about line, shape, and form. Practice contour drawing and shading techniques.

Week 3-4:
Pencil Mastery Dive deeper into pencil drawing.
Study light and shadow in detail. Create realistic pencil sketches of everyday objects.

Week 5-6:
Charcoal and Chalk Pastels
Introduction to charcoal and chalk pastels. Experiment with texture and blending properties. Create a still life artwork using these mediums.

Week 7-8:
Pen and Ink Drawing
Learn the art of pen and ink drawing. Explore cross-hatching, stippling, and line work. Create intricate ink drawings inspired by nature

Class Dates:
Every Thursday 4pm to 5pm.

We ask parents to remain in store while the class is in session - we have plenty of tables for you to relax and enjoy a delicious cuppa!

We limit our classes to only 12 students therefore enrolment prior to the start date is essential in order to not miss out.

Entrance to our venue is from the carpark at the back of 5 Mackinnon street, Rockingham
