TEENS
A balance of rawness and exactness, immediacy and precision. The persistent tension between perfectionism and the brink of total unhinged chaos. True Hobart/nipaluna post punk powerhouse.
Damn Williams
Tasmanian expat Elliot Taylor (Tiger Choir, Poppongene, Dazzle Ships) adopts his mother's maiden name and reflects on Van Diemen's of the past with his project, Damn Williams. With Bowie infused vocals set amidst a soundscape alluding to 90's guitars and Australiana.
Bextexta
What even IS a Bextexta? Trip-Hop. Shoegaze. Hints of Brit-Pop through synths and beats. Washed out guitars and meandering dream-state vocals. It’s what happens when take the dregs of lutruwita stalwart Enola Fall and turn it on its head.
Mild Fires
Remember that guy from nipaluna’s New Saxons? Timothy Green’s new solo project Mild Fires is 60s inspired rock & roll fun. Hints of alt folk through the lens of life, loss and youth being wasted on the youth.
