    Event description

Thanks to the Shire of Mundaring and Dulux, this new six-week series will give participants hands-on experience in designing and painting a mural IN MUNDARING!

    How it works

The first three sessions will take place at the Mundaring Adult Creative & Learning Centre, 3 Craigie Place, Mundaring.

    Here we will:

    • Identify how we can work together well
    • Get creative and share design ideas with guidance from Cale from Seven Sphere Creations
    • Practice mindfulness and techniques to calm the mind with Claire from Conscious Movement
    • Finalise our nature-themed geometric mural design.

The final three sessions will be on-site at the Coppin Road Waste Transfer Station - our mural site!

    Here we will:

    • Scale up our collaborative mural design to mark out the wall
    • Have a whole lot of fun putting paint on the wall
    • Enjoy some mindfulness practices surrounded by nature!

Cale Hosking - Seven Sphere Creations

Cale is an artist, a music producer and he loves Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu! Cale's artworks are inspired by nature and how geometry manifests itself through all levels of creation. Having found his way into art at a young age, Cale left school to complete a trade certificate to become a Signwriter. His art practice now uses these traditional painting techniques to create beautiful mandalas as murals and commission pieces for sale. His art can be seen locally on the front walls of Stone's Throw Yoga and Sawyers Valley Crystals and Crafts. Cale is inspired to share his knowledge and help others achieve the same feelings of calm and contentment he finds himself in when creating his art. Cale likes chocolate and walking with his staffy Yoda in the bush. For more information see https://sevenspheres.com.au/folio/

    Claire South - Conscious Movement

Claire is a yoga teacher, nature lover and she loves throwing down some dance moves in the kitchen! She has grown up and lived in the hills all her life. After spending many years working in community sport, she started practising yoga and quickly realised she wanted to help other people connect more deeply with themselves - mind, body and spirit. Claire now runs yoga and meditation classes regularly at Stone's Throw Yoga in Mundaring and is trained in teaching children, teens, adults and the elderly. Claire also is a trained adventure guide and can often be found leading groups of teens through a rite of passage program in the forest on school camps. One of her favourite foods is pickles and she loves a good second-hand find!
