Creative Occupation presents Telematic Café, a performative space where interesting people come together to explore interesting ideas and imagine a new festival for Geelong — the Geelong Experimental and Ephemeral Art Festival (GEEA).

Hear from six Geelong-connected public figures — an artist-academic, arts manager, politician, businessperson, First Nations artist and local art icon — as they bring different perspectives to the proposed festival. The panellists will be announced three days before the event.

Across two moderated discussion rounds at 6pm and 7.30pm, three experts at a time will explore GEEA through the lenses of context, history, art and location.

Drop in, listen, ask questions and join the conversation. Staged at one of Geelong’s flagship venues, Telematic Café draws inspiration from a podcast studio and is complemented by an interactive installation.
