Telluride Mushroom Festival 2026

The Telluride Mushroom Festival returns for its 46th year. Every August, mushroom enthusiasts gather in Telluride, CO for days of learning, foraging, tasting, community, and celebrating all things fungi!

Attendees can look forward to lectures and panel discussions covering recent psychedelic research, updates on decriminalization, and both new and historical applications of medicinal mushrooms. Beyond the lecture halls, hands-on experiences include guided forays with experienced mycologists, and workshops on mushroom cooking, cultivation, and preservation.

For those eager to sharpen their identification skills, the Mushroom ID Tent offers real-time insights into local foraging finds. The festival also includes a variety of community-focused gatherings from yoga and meditation to open mics, conversation circles, art classes, networking mixers, and live music.

Evenings bring keynote presentations from leading mycologists, along with films, music, and a range of signature events like the Mycoluscious Mycolicious Mycological Poetry Show. Saturday caps off with the world-famous Mushroom Parade down Main Street, followed by the Puff Ball Costume Dance Party.
