Temple Visit and Working Bee with Chi Kwang Sunim
Event description
Temple Visit and Working Bee at the Seon Buddhist Centre
Spend a meaningful day at the Seon Buddhist Centre (Kinglake) with Venerable Chi Kwang Sunim, lending a helping hand and sharing in the spirit of community. As Venerable Chi Kwang Sunim lives and cares for the temple on her own, maintaining the grounds and facilities can be a big task. This visit is a wonderful opportunity to offer support, enjoy the peaceful surroundings of the temple, and connect through shared mindfulness and service.
The day will include a working bee to help with light gardening and tidying around the temple grounds, followed by a lunch dana. In the afternoon, participants are invited to take part in a meditation and Dhamma discussion led by Venerable Chi Kwang Sunim.
Notes:
Please bring a vegetarian dish or dessert to share (i.e., eggs, cheese, milk, yogurt, fruits, salads, bread, noodles, tofu, nuts, mock meat, or veg curries/stew, or veg dips).
Wear comfortable shoes and suitable clothing for work (the temperature at the Seon Centre is usually 3–5°C cooler).
Gloves are available at the Centre (bring your own if preferred).
We will arrange carpools for those who do not have a car.
Thank you :)
