tempus tranquillum - spring sound meditation
Description
SOUND MEDITATION with Tempus Tranquillum
There’s science behind intentional rest. When the body shifts into a relaxed state, it can devote more resources to the processes that support restoration, regulation and wellbeing.
An hour of resting within a sound meditation can be one of the most valuable things we give to ourselves.
Sound meditation invites the body to slow down, the nervous system to gently glide into an inner journey of calm.
Through the resonant tones of gongs, Japanese orin bowls and crystal singing bowls, you allow your body to continue its natural processes of recovery & repair.
Simply lie down, get comfortable and allow yourself to deeply listen… Enjoy intentional sounds promoting relaxation and let the frequencies do the rest…
FAQs
- Do I need to bring anything?
Yes, a yoga mat, comfy clothing and water are all recommended - whatever you need to really enjoy your time.
- Do I need to know how to meditate?
No - the frequencies of the instruments create a certain introspection- perfect for beginners- however we do have seasoned meditators come and they also enjoy the soothing sounds.
- I'm a bit weirded out by people claiming certain things about sound baths- whats the deal?
Sound meditations are the same as a 'sound bath' - basically modern and ancient instruments are played and the theory behind it is, they aim to turn the fight or flight chemicals off in the body and turn on the relaxing ones.
For the curious: I highly recommend reading the book, 'Becoming Supernatural' by Dr Joe Dispenza; in it he breaks down exactly the physiological effects that meditating or 'centering one's awareness' creates in the body and it is really the scientific joy of learning about one's own personal health that makes me adore creating these sessions.
I consider myself a well-seasoned 'relaxation specialist' and love to answer any other questions you may have about sound and frequencies:
