Crafting for your Community | KEMPSEY
Event description
Crafting for your community - a unique opportunity to craft, create, connect and give to your community
Over this 4 session program you will experience the inviting atmosphere of crafting for your community, led by facilitator Gai Southwell, both experienced artisans and newcomers will unite to exchange skills and produce handmade treasures for our community. Whether you're proficient in knitting, crocheting, or simply exploring your craft, everyone is welcome.
As the cooler months approach, the program goal is to fashion beanies for the homeless, this program aims to reinforce bonds and create tangible benefits for our community.
Located at the Kempsey Showground (Meeting Room), Crafting for Community offers a space dedicated to creativity and teamwork.
Participate in skill-sharing sessions, contribute to group projects, and delve into discussions about the significant impact of handmade goods on community initiatives. Join us for 2 blocks of 2 x 2 day sessions, where you can enjoy crafting, companionship, and community enrichment.
We champion sustainability here at the Recommunity Project and encourage you to bring along any spare wool you have laying around to add to our pool of resources.
