Tenterfield’s future builds on the strengths that have always defined this community, resilient businesses, a strong agricultural base, a growing visitor economy and a strategic position as the gateway between New South Wales and Queensland.

By working together, we can turn these advantages into long-term opportunities for growth, innovation and connection, ensuring Tenterfield business leaders have a central role in shaping their future prosperity.

Long recognised for its history and heritage, Tenterfield is now earning state-wide attention as a destination that blends culture, nature and business opportunity. The strengths of Tenterfield’s agricultural base, natural assets and community leadership position it well as a visitor stop, a destination in its own right and a place to invest.

ProspER is a regional economic and environment plan to 2040 with a wellbeing economy approach, shifting the focus from solely maximising financial growth (like GDP) to prioritising human and ecological wellbeing. An economy designed to serve people, planet and prosperity.

Please join us to explore Tenterfield’s strengths and future opportunities at a business and industry forum on Thursday 16 October 2025.
