Teri Young Trio Franklin afternoon concert (includes High Tea)
Event description
THIRD TIME LUCKY, FINAL OFFER! Because of clashing with other events in the Huon Valley that we really don't want to clash with, we have rescheduled and relocated one last time. There will be an afternoon high tea and concert on show day (a fitting day for a show), at the Old Billy Hill Shop in Franklin.
Songwriter Teri Young will be playing a new album 'Bring the show back home' live, alongside the incredible bodhran player Anna Talbot and absolutely gorgeous double bassist Hamish Stevenson. There are songs for friends, lovers, old folks, bushwalkers of Southwest Tasmania, and perhaps most importantly, for dogs. Find out whether it was worth them going to the effort of recording an album, and if it was, you can even take a songbook home with you.
"Teri is remarkable, not only for her singing, musicianship and songwriting talent, but for the fact that she actually has something to say. Her songs have wit, poignancy, strong narrative structure, and clear politics without being at all strident or self-serving." -- Judy Small, Australian folk legend
Date: October 20th SHOW DAY HOLIDAY
Tickets: Adults $25, 5-17 year olds $10, kids under 5 free. This includes an exquisite high tea made by our wonderful chef and host Alexandra.
Come at 2:30pm for a 3pm start. The concert will start with support from the delightful young Joy.
