REQUIREMENTS: Please bring along your own tools, towel and apron. Covered shoes are essential.
Classes are for adult members. Go to the Anglesea Art House website to join and pay if you are not a current financial member prior to registering for this class.

This course is focused on giving students the fundamental skills, knowledge and hands on experience of working with clay with an experienced and highly skilled tutor.
The flexibility of handbuilding with clay offers endless opportunities for creating a variety of forms, varying from functional to sculptural. Students will experiment with a range of surface decorations including, textural impressions and scraffito, slips, underglaze, brush-on and pouring and dipping glazes.
Each week a method will be demonstrated and supervised by the tutor to achieve various outcomes. Intermediate and experienced students can choose to follow the method with the class or discuss their intended project with the tutor and work at their own pace with assistance from the tutor as required.
Materials and firing costs are incorporated into the total course fee: a bag of stoneware clay, one bisque firing, one glaze firing.
