TERM 2 - Floorplay

Are you thirsty for the Hellraising Honey experience? Then come and unleashed your inner goddess while you strut your stuff with Kuarna’s queen of stilettos - newly relocated to Boorloo!

Throughout this six week course you’ll learn the sexy art of Eroticesque - a hybrid of burlesque tease & strip club showgirl performance art. This style of movement is Six Inch Minx's own concoction of platform heel based erotic seduction, booty shaking, floorplay & chair trickery.

The focus of this class is purely on everyone having fun, building confidence, and feeling great! Everyone else in the room is on this journey together with you, so please come in with an open & supportive attitude. Let’s all do our best to cheer each other on as we build our skills together! Tickets are separated into performance courses for those who are confident enough to perform what they have learned on stage at the end of term showcase, and a casual 'just for fun' option for those who aren't quite sure yet. There are also separate week by week casual classes available for those who just want to drop in - but please keep in mind we will be focusing on learning a routine each week so coming along randomly will require picking up whatever has been learned so far.

NOTE: no classes on the 15th or the 29th September due to the instructor being away. The 6 classes will span across an 8 week timeframe.

FLOOR TRICKERY - open level

Tuesdays 8-9pm

Want to focus on nailing some impressive stunt moves to add a bit more wow factor to your routines? Or maybe you're completely new to the floor and just want to master the art of slinking across the floor. Kepp in mind that floorwork is a full body workout! Many people have a misconception that it is easy but prepare yourself for some challenging strength & flexibility based moves.

In this class we will focus on learning the following tricks listed below… but don't panic! everything in the routine will start with beginner based moves, and adjusted based on student capability. we will work towards harder moves but they will only be put into the final routine if every performance course student can do them with confidence.

• leg waves
• poses / shapes / silhouettes
• slinky crawls
• heel bangs
• hair flicks & body rolls
• moving across the floor with with fluidity
• transitions to get up & down from the floor
• back & forwards roll variations
• split & fake split moves
• knee spin variations
• shoulder stands
• russian slam / kip ups

…connecting these movements together to create a short choreography.

But will there be any nudity involved? This will be determined based on the students who enrol and what they are comfortable with. Costume for the performance will be discussed with the class and decided to suit the general vibe of all students.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION…

DRESSCODE: high heels & lingerie or any kind of sexy outfit - ditch the yoga pants & workout wear, it’s not that kind of exercise honey! You will be channeling a side of yourself that might feel a bit different and scary, but trust us when we say that looking the part ALWAYS helps you to feel the sultry vibes. Closed toe shoes are recommended for floorwork to protect your toes in some of the moves. The space that we will be dancing in will not have you surrounded by mirrors, but instead decked out with coloured neon mood lighting, so you don’t have to worry about feeling too exposed.

PLEASE BRING: knee pads, a bottle of water, a hair tie, some appropriate clothing to arrive & exit the venue in.
