    Join us to experience the magic of Yookamurra. Learn about conservation programs, walk through old-growth mallee forest and be amazed by the bio-crust.

    Learn about what Yookamurra has to offer you and your students as you experience some of the hands-on activities and feel inspired by the ecologists living and working in this very special part of our region.

    Yookamurra Sanctuary
    Session runs from 10am - 2pm
    *Free return bus available (and advised due to vehicle restrictions) with pick up in Renmark, Barmera, Waikerie, Mannum and Murray Bridge - simply choose your pickup location when you register.
    Morning tea and lunch provided.

    Anticipated program
    From 8 am - bus departs Renmark.
    From 8:25 am - bus departs Murray Bridge.
    (full bus schedule with pick up locations on info flyer and at registration).
    10:00 am Arrivals at Yookamurra main gate.
    10:15 am Sign-in, morning tea at education centre.
    10:40 am General welcome and introductions.
    10:50 am - 11:20 am
    Yookamurra overview; all about the sanctuary and what is on offer to schools.
    11:20 am - 12:20 pm
    Mallee loop walk; experience the old growth mallee and bio-crust.
    12:20 pm - 1:00 pm
    Hands-on activities offered at Yookamurra; scats, tracks and a whole lot more.
    1:00 pm Lunch at the education centre - including delicious soups made by Salt & Pepper catering.
    1:45 pm Session close
    All attendees back to main gate.
    2:00 pm Departures
    Buses back to drop off locations.
    Approx. 3:15 pm - arrival in Murray Bridge.
    Approx. 3:50 pm - arrival in Renmark.
