Dear Portuguese-speaking community of Brisbane,

In 2022, Raizes Brasileiras celebrates 5 years offering to the Australian-Brazilian community of QLD a bilingual education. Together in community, Raizes teaches children, parents and the community about Brazilian culture, Portuguese language and bilingual upbringing.

During this time, Raízes Brasileiras has educated children, presented seminars for parents, teachers and researchers, organized cultural events for children in Portuguese in Brisbane, trained and consulted multicultural communities in Brisbane, Sunshine and Gold Coast, and maintained a mobile library with more than 600 children's book and a variety of games and toys that encourage communication in Portuguese.

By maintaining the cultural and linguistic identity throughout generations, Raízes Brasileiras supports the construction of a genuinely multicultural and an active multilingual Australia. We therefore understand that the return on this project benefits the entire Australian society.

In 2022, Raizes Brasileiras plans to offer:

Annual membership:
- annuals cultural parties: dates to be confirmed
  - Bailinho de carnaval
  - Arraia do Raizes
  - Children's Day
  - Christimas Celebration
- Portuguese library (pick up, and return in Albany Creek, return can be by mail)
- Seminars & workshops to parents and educators
- online resources (access to exclusive content)
In-presence enrollment:
- annual membership (free access to all options above mentioned)
- 5 fortnightly educational events per term focused on children oral interaction and group creativity -- meeting regularity may change depending on external conditions.
- Date: First meeting July 16th
- Time: 3-5pm
- Place: to be announced 2-1 week before the event -- Brisbane Area

You can combine in-presence meetings with online lessons, or acquire only online lessons:

Online lessons
- 5 weekly lessons per term focused on reading & writing
- specific online resource and online books
- Date: Saturday 9am, it starts on May 21st. (minimum 3 required to make a group, otherwise it become a private lesson)
