Term 3 2024: Characterisation
Event description
Creating Characters: Characterisation through Objects
Stage 2 or Stage 3
22-70 students
90-120 minutes
Through experimentation and play-based activities, students will create a fictional character, developing them through a series of objects, settings and relationships. Students will analyse how context clues can demonstrate interesting quirks, contradictions and cravings that give depth to their characterisation. Students will use these interesting and relatable characters in their own imaginative text, focusing on the actions, thoughts and intentions of their character to bring life to the story.
