On Thursday evenings this term, Lama Choedak will present teachings on Letter to a Friend by Nagarjuna.

Nagarjuna's Letter to a Friend is a famous, frequently quoted poem, which was written as a gift to a South Indian king by Nagarjuna. The 123 verses cover the entire Mahayana path, and provide practical advice on how to conduct oneself in daily life while traversing the path to enlightenment.

About Lama Choedak Rinpoche
Lama Choedak Rinpoche is the Spiritual Director of Sakya Losal Choe Dzong, Tibetan Buddhist Society of Canberra. Born in Tibet in 1954, Rinpoche completed twelve years of rigorous monastic training under His Eminence Choegye Trichen, including a traditional three-and-a-half year solitary meditation retreat.

Since settling in Canberra in the late 1980s, he has become one of Australia's most respected Buddhist teachers, known for his profound yet accessible teachings delivered with lucidity, authenticity and humour. Rinpoche has been conducting meditation courses and philosophy classes for over thirty years and is the author of several bestselling books including Healing Relationships and Lamdre - Dawn of Enlightenment.
