Located in the heart of Bellingen at Happymess studio, this workshop will be Co-facilitated with local professional Fantasy Illustrator Richard Sampson. Richard has illustrated numerous comic books and fantasy novels (most recently the Lone Wolf series).

Returning for our 5th term of creative adventures, The Art Odyssey invites young artists to journey through imagination and making, exploring a different creative modality each week with a playful spin on international holidays. With band flyer designs, Halloween masks, shared murals, and vinyl record covers, this term is sure to be a hit!

With a warm and supportive group atmosphere, each session begins with a shared afternoon tea and an imaginative warm-up activity before diving into the week’s theme. Participants will explore fantasy-inspired ideas through a mix of drawing, painting, collage, sculpture, and collaborative projects — building confidence, skills, and creative friendships along the way.

The final week will culminate in the return of our mini exhibition, where participants can invite family and friends to view a selection of their unique works on display at Happymess Studio. This term’s showcase will feature each participant’s favourite creations alongside a collaborative installation — a celebration of creativity, identity, and imagination in full colour. All materials supplied - participants will leave with their own visual diary they have used throughout the term. Limited spaces available so early bookings recommended.
