*Thursday Jan 18 - SOLD OUT

terra is a 50min dance work informed by the knowledge of current and impending ecological loss. An un-trackable choreographic momentum evokes the incremental movement of earth’s tectonic plates; the elemental power of the natural world pushed to its limits and the forces that create change.

Erupting from an imagination placed under pressure for decades, terra invites us to feel what is happening to the earth, whilst creating something of awe and beauty. With each performance, a unique topographical sculptural residue remains, inviting the audience to continue their imaginative engagement with the work.

This piece emerged conceptually and choreographically from Alice's experience of living in Victoria, through the pandemic, fires, flooding, threatening winds and an earthquake – disquiet was omnipresent. The resurgence of the natural world during the lockdowns, particularly in urban spaces, brought an acute awareness of human impact on our living world.

terra is a seated performance. START TIME : 7.30pm - *PLEASE ARRIVE EARLY AS NO LATE ADMISSION

*Q&A following Saturday's performance.

'She moved with the kind of felt precision that could change the meaning of the space around her. She touched the floor and suddenly it was alive. The experience was pure and electrifying' (Erik Jensen, Editor-in-chief, Schwartz Media, January 2022).
