Tessa Jane @ The Junction
Event description
Already a veteran of three bands, Tessa has been performing professionally at restaurants, festivals, and events since the age of 11. Known for her rich, enchanting vocals that leave you wanting more, Tessa plays a mix of originals and covers, leaning towards indie, folk, and pop, with the occasional show tune, gospel song, or French jazz tune to mix it up. Career highlights so far include performing on the Sydney Opera House Stage with Breathing Underwater and Pyrus, a solo performance at the North West Music Festival, and folk festivals including Illawarra and St Albans as one half of her current band, The River Li.
With all that under her belt, Tessa is now excited to launch her solo career, with her first ever solo show at Junction 142 Katoomba. She’ll be joined on stage by local musicians, Magnus, Baxter, Gryffyn and Olivia. To kick things off, Tessa is pleased to welcome Brianna Mae, her longtime Pyrus collaborator, for a solo set featuring Brianna’s voice in all its fragile beauty as she sings her own indie pop compositions. Up next, Molohi, whose high energy mix of rap, soul, and hip-hop will get the audience on their feet and set you up for a night of soaring vocals, rhythmic grooves and a few surprises with Tessa Jane and her band.
