This conversation will focus on:

How can funders ensure AI is being integrated into their processes with an ethical, equitable, and safe approach?
How can funders support communities to use AI safely?

About our speakers:

Lani Evans has spent over a decade working across charities, philanthropy and purpose-driven business, focused on moving resources more equitably. She co-founded Share Collective and Generous Ventures, was the inaugural CEO of Thankyou Payroll and has held leadership roles in corporate and family philanthropy. She is an Honorary Member of Philanthropy New Zealand and a recipient of a New Year’s Honour for services to social enterprise. Lani is the co-founder and CEO of Fundsorter, a tech platform reshaping how community organisations access funding. Fundsorter uses data and AI to match charities with grants and streamline applications, reducing the funding burden so organisations can focus on delivering impact.

Rachel Kimber is a technologist, strategist, and educator working at the intersection of AI, philanthropy, and social impact. She is the founder and Managing Director of Full Circle Impact Solutions, where she advises nonprofit organizations, foundations, and leadership teams on AI governance, digital strategy, and responsible technology adoption.

With more than 20 years of experience across philanthropy, operations, and systems leadership, Rachel helps organizations navigate the opportunities and tensions emerging from AI and data technologies. Her work focuses on translating complex technological shifts into practical governance, learning, and decision-making frameworks grounded in equity, trust, and human relationships.

Rachel is faculty with the New York Community Trust Nonprofit Follows and a speaker and facilitator with organizations such as NTEN, PEAK Grantmaking, Philanthropy New York, and the American Bar Association. She works closely with nonprofit and philanthropic leaders to ask not only how AI should be adopted, but who benefits, who is excluded, and what values should guide the sector forward.

Michelle Baldwin

Michelle Baldwin works at the intersection of community philanthropy, impact investing, emerging technology, and systems change. She is currently a Community Collaboration Fellow with Community Foundations Australia and Huron University College, where she is co-designing an Adaptive Lifecycle Framework to help community foundations navigate change and future possibilities. She is also exploring AI and community philanthropy with the network.

Michelle is Co-Executive Director of Impact United Academy, an impact investing learning organization in Canada, and faculty at Huron University College in Governance, Leadership, and Ethics. She also explores how technologies such as AI, web3, and blockchain can redistribute power, strengthen community agency, and support more equitable futures.

Across Canada, Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand, Michelle is convening conversations with philanthropy, investors and community leaders. These conversations hold both curiosity and critique about AI, exploring how we move beyond adoption alone to amplify voices often excluded from major societal transitions, and how we shape and fund AI as a public good.
