Studio1 is a choreographic hub for Artists to gather, make, create and collaborate.
A micro arts precinct, it supports the day-to-day practice and on-going development of Independent Dance and Physical Theatre in Meanjin | Brisbane.

Studio1 is a multifunctional space that can be adapted to support your event. We are a warehouse-style venue that is incredibly versatile from hosting small and intimate meetings to larger scale events, Studio1 is designed to meet your needs.

Studio1 Presents The Workroom Program In 2024/5.

The Workroom is a sector support + capacity building platform for Independent Dance and Physical Theatre in Brisbane. Across 12 months Studio1 will present a series of residencies, workshops, skills labs and showing opportunities to champion and uplift choreographic development and research enquiry for dance and physical theatre in Brisbane and beyond.

Studio1 champions safe spaces frameworks and actively encourages people from First Nations, LGBTQIA+, CALD and Disability communities to apply. MORE Dance for MORE people is a fundamental value for Studio1.
