Course overview

Who said accessibility testing is not a team sport? Learn some quick and easy tests that will uncover common accessibility issues we see in websites. This course is for any digital professional interested in accessibility testing.

Learning outcomes

In this course, you will learn about:

using automated and manual testing techniques
using tools to check contrast and colour usage
identifying different image types and check accessible alternatives for images
checking content structure is logical and meaningful
making sure all tasks can be completed using a keyboard
checking form labels and instructions are clear and coded correctly.

Knowledge level

No prior accessibility knowledge needed
Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS and web developer tools required

Technology requirements

To participate in this course, attendees will need to install:

Microsoft Accessibility Insights for Chrome (preferred) or Edge TPG Colour Contrast Analyser

These technologies are freely available. We will work with you if you have environment restrictions that prevent you from installing new software.
