Textile Basket Workshop - Sydney Craft Week

Do you a have a large stash of fabric and wondering how you can make use of it?  

The world of basketry offers so many rich rewards. It’s a chance to work with your hands and create with purpose and meaning whilst creating something visually beautiful.  In this mini workshop you will be shown how with just a few pieces of fabric remnants combined with simple hand stitching how a gorgeous basket can be formed. We can provide the guidance to start a small coiled basket and give you the skills to continue with your basket at home. At The Sewing Basket, fabric is one of our obsessions and we will have a huge selection of fabric for you to choose from. All workshop materials will be included in your fee. At The Sewing basket we provide a socially inclusive and supportive environment and welcome all levels of ability.
