Textile Waste Tour - Albury
Event description
Join us to find out how you can sort, repair, share, reuse and relove your clothes. This interactive tour gives you the chance to donate and purchase, contributing to the circular fashion economy.
Meet inside the Lavington Library and after a quick overview, jump on the Halve Waste tour bus for visits to several local businesses all doing their part in managing our textile waste.
DONT COME EMPTY HANDED! As well as bringing a snack and water bottle, we invite you to practice sorting your excess clothing
non-wearable and non-usable cotton textiles - bring a bag for donation to rag manufacturers Red Bantam
clean, wearable clothing - bring a bag for donation to LifeLine Op-Shop for reuse
high-end clothing - we will have a quick "suitcase swap" at the end of the tour - bring a suitcase size bag (5-10 items) of your best items to be shared and reloved by other participants
bring a water bottle, hat and your own snacks
Accessibility: four stairs to bus; approx. 200m walk; provided in English; limited tickets available
