Saturday Night Art at NeuroNest Studio

Come spend a relaxed Saturday night creating, experimenting and getting a little messy in my home art studio in the Adelaide Hills.

This isn't a traditional art class, and you don't need to know how to paint.

I'll introduce you to some of the techniques and materials I use in my own textured mixed-media work - palette knives, layering, mark making, texture mediums, colour and metallic touches - and then you'll have the freedom to play and create your own piece.

There's no set artwork to copy and no pressure to make something 'good'. I want this to be as much about the experience of making as much as the finished piece.

Come alone (you absolutely won't be the only one) or book with a friend, partner or someone you'd like to spend an evening creating with.

Your ticket includes:

Your canvas to take home
paints and texture materials
use of tools and art supplies
guidance and ideas when you want them
tea, coffee and light nibbles
A small, relaxed group in my working studio

Wear something you don't mind getting a little paint on.

Most importantly, you do not need to be artistic. Curiosity is enough.

Come make something, meet some people, switch your brain off for a while and see what happens.
