Event description

Join us for the Grand Final of the Allens Neota UTS Law Tech Challenge for Social Justice, where one inspiring team of students will be named winner of the 2024 Challenge.

Since February, four teams of UTS Law Brennan Justice and Leadership students have teamed up with lawyers and technologists from international law firm Allens to create apps using the Neota Logic no-code/low-code platform. Each team has worked closely with a not-for-profit organisation to develop an automated app-based solution to foster social justice.

UTS Law students and their Allens mentors have built the law apps using Neota Logic software, designed specifically for anyone with no prior programming experience. Based on a program developed in the USA by Georgetown University Law School and Neota Logic, the UTS Law Tech Challenge has been blending law and tech for the greater good since 2016.

Be inspired as the lawyers of today and tomorrow present their apps to an expert panel of judges.

This year our judges include:

  • Peter Campbell, Head of Legal Product Lab, Allens
  • Julian Uebergang, Chief Executive Officer, Neota Logic
  • Professor Anita Stuhmcke, Dean, UTS Faculty of Law

Cheer them on while connecting with professionals and students whose interest in tech matches their commitment to social justice.

In 2024 the participating not-for-profits are:

+ Arise Foundation
+ Tender Funerals
+ Western Sydney Community Legal Centre
+ YouthBank International
