The 2024 UTS Schools Titration Competition

We invite you to join us at the University of Technology Sydney for the Schools Titration Competition!
This competition provides an exciting opportunity for students to compete against other schools and enhance their scientific abilities and comprehension through practical experimentation. In this competition, teams of three students compete in a quantitative analytical challenge. Within a 90-minute time frame, each team must complete a set of acid-base titrations to determine the unknown concentration of a weak acid.
To ensure more schools get a chance to be involved, we encourage each school to enter no more than three teams.
Our city campus is right next to Central station, the main train and light rail hub for the Sydney CBD, as well as the Railway Square bus interchange.
Important information: Students and teachers will need to bring their own Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including labcoat, safety glasses, enclosed shoes and clothing that covers the legs to ankle. All other chemistry equipment will be provided.
