The 2026 Chinese Bridge – 25th Chinese Proficiency Competition for Foreign College Students (Australia Division Regional Final)

The 2026 Chinese Bridge – 25th Chinese Proficiency Competition for Foreign College Students (Australia Division Regional Final) will be held at the Australian National University on 23 May 2026, hosted by the ANU School of Culture, History and Language (CHL).

Chinese Bridge (汉语桥) is a world-renowned international Chinese language proficiency competition that brings together outstanding university students from across the globe. This regional final will feature contestants from the ACT, Northern Territory and Western Australia, who will compete through written tests, themed speeches, cultural knowledge Q&A, and cultural performances under the theme “One World, One Family (天下一家)”.

The event aims to promote Chinese language learning and cross-cultural understanding, while providing students with a platform to showcase their linguistic ability, cultural creativity, and confidence on a national stage. Outstanding participants may be recommended to represent Australia in the Global Final in China, offering a unique opportunity for international exchange and cultural immersion.
