2026 Great Duck Race: Quack Back at DV

The Rotary Club of Burleigh Heads Great Duck Race is back!

The Quack Back Against DV Race raises much-needed funds to support people affected by domestic violence here on the Gold Coast, with all proceeds going to Hearts of Purple.

With only 200 ducks in this race, your odds of winning are fantastic! Adopt your own duck for $250, or go in together as a syndicate with family, friends or work colleagues.

How it works

1. Adopt your duck for $250 (solo or as a syndicate).

2. Each entry is randomly matched to one of our 200 large numbered rubber ducks.

3. On race day, all the ducks are released into the creek together.

4. The first three ducks across the finish line win, and winners are notified by phone straight after the race.

Race day: Saturday 21 November, Currumbin RSL Reserve. Gates open at 12 noon with live music, kids' activities and food stalls. The Quack Back Against DV Race starts at around 1:30pm.

Online duck adoption closes at 3pm on Friday 20 November.

Race Schedule Variation.

The Rotary Club of Burleigh Heads reserves the right to modify the race schedule,

alter the order of events or adjust race times at any time prior to or during the event.

These changes may be made at the organisers sole discretion to accommodate

adverse weather conditions, environmental factors, or unexpected operational

requirements to ensure the safety of participants and the smooth running of the

event. No refunds or compensations will be issued due to schedule changes.

Determination of Race Winners.

The Rotary Club of Burleigh Heads retains ultimate authority over placement of all

participants. The Organiser’s decision regarding the determination of race winners,

podium placements, and the awarding of prizes is final, binding, and not subject to

appeal or dispute.
