Design Declares - The 8 Acts of Emergency - CANCELLED
Event description
CANCELLED - Unfortunately due a combination of Cyclones and Illness we need to postpone this event
80% of all product related environmental impacts are determined during the design phase of a product.
Join us as we take a dive into the role of design in the climate crisis, we must acknowledge that we have had a role in bringing us to where we are now, and that we have an important role in what comes next. Because designers are makers. We make ideas real. We generate solutions. We build the world - dreaming up new futures and bringing them to life in ways that are beautiful, vital and impossible to resist. It’s not quite magic, but it feels like it.
We will take a look at the Design Declares - 8 Acts of Emergency and how they can help us create more sustainably.
We will hear from sustainable designers from all areas of design - digital, service, comms, industrial, graphic and design academia. This is our opportunity to share and learn from our peers on this important sustainable creative journey. We will discuss the role that design will play in combating this environmental emergency and how we harness the tools of our industry to reimagine, rebuild and heal our world.
