The Board of the Dyspraxia Support Group of New Zealand (Inc) is pleased to invite you to attend the 8th National Dyspraxia Conference, DSGNZ Conference – Paving the Way for Success, taking place in Christchurch on 2–3 October 2026.

The conference has been designed to provide valuable insight, practical strategies, and meaningful discussion for individuals living with Developmental Dyspraxia/DCD, along with the parents, educators, therapists, professionals, and communities who support them. Our goal is that attendees leave with greater understanding, renewed inspiration, and tools that help create positive outcomes for people with Developmental Dyspraxia/DCD.

No two people with Developmental Dyspraxia/DCD experience life in exactly the same way. Each individual has their own strengths, challenges, goals, and pathways, and this conference will highlight the importance of recognising and supporting those differences across childhood, adolescence, and adulthood.

Our 2026 theme, Paving the Way for Success, reflects a focus on creating opportunities, encouraging inclusion, and recognising the capabilities and achievements of people with Developmental Dyspraxia/DCD. Throughout the conference we will explore both current research and lived experience, acknowledging the challenges that can arise while also celebrating resilience, growth, and success.

We hope this conference will also provide an opportunity to form valuable professional and personal connections, exchange ideas, and gather practical information that can strengthen the support, care, and educational experiences available to individuals with Developmental Dyspraxia/DCD and their whānau.

While people with Developmental Dyspraxia/DCD may encounter additional barriers in everyday life, learning, employment, and participation, the right understanding, support, and environment can make a significant difference in helping individuals reach their potential.
