Dear @FirstName

We’re so glad you’re joining us for The Absence of Presence: Healing Neglect Through IFS. We’re really looking forward to gathering in a retreat-style learning space devoted to presence, curiosity, and Self-energy—and to learning together with Jenny Fiebig.

This workshop is designed to be spacious, experiential, and nourishing. Expect meaningful learning, embodied exploration, and the kind of connection that often unfolds when we slow down and listen, both inwardly and to one another, in an IFS-informed space.

Lodging at La Foret Conference and Retreat Center

We will stay in the Lapp Lodge, one of the property's newer facilities. Each room has a queen bed, a twin bed, and two Murphy beds. If you have a roommate, you will negotiate sleeping arrangements with them. The meeting room is in the Lapp Lodge.

Use this link to learn more about the retreat center property and view a map.

If you have a roommate request, please email info.rockymountainifs@gmail.com with a roommate selection.

Meals

All Meals are included from Thursday dinner to Sunday breakfast, and snacks will also be provided. You are welcome to bring any food or drinks you want/need and use the community refrigerator.

Please note: La Foret will cater to all medically necessary dietary needs to the best of our ability (i.e., nut allergy or dairy allergy). However, La Foret is not an allergen-free kitchen, and cross-contamination is always a possibility. With advance notice, a microwave and mini fridge can be provided so that those with severe allergies can bring and prepare their own food. La Foret will also do our best to accommodate dietary preferences (e.g., vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free), but cannot guarantee an alternative at every meal. La Foret does, however, provide a large salad bar at lunch and dinner as well as fruit, yogurt, cereal, and oatmeal at breakfast.

What to Bring

La Foret is simple and peaceful, designed to support retreat space. Rooms include beds, linens, and basic paper products, but may not provide toiletries.

Please bring anything you need to feel comfortable, including:

Personal hygiene items (soap, shampoo, hair care, skincare, etc.)
Any comfort items you like to have when traveling or retreating
Layers or cozy clothing for learning and reflection

We encourage you to arrive with an intention to care well for yourself—your body, your parts, and your nervous system—so you can fully receive the learning and connection this time offers.

We’re truly looking forward to sharing this experience with you and to the wisdom that emerges when we gather in Self-energy and community.

Warmly,
The Rocky Mountain IFS Team

Sylvia Schyberg, Susan Smith, Kate D'Orazio, and Bethany Barta💚
