Presented by Beyond Valleys Art Therapy in collaboration with Barrique Wine Store, The Accidental... is a new creative workshop series launching in Healesville.

No pressure, no expectations – just a space to log off, enjoy a glass, and explore your creative side. Led by local Arts Therapist Amanda Ng (AThR), workshops in the series are inspired by expressive arts therapy practices and invite connection and self-expression through an experiential, process-led approach. No art experience is needed to join and all are welcome.

As a community-driven event, your feedback will help shape what we offer next. Come check out the launch, connect with others, and discover what arts therapy in our community is all about.

👉 Tues 25 Aug: Opening Night

Kicking off the series with The Accidental...Poet

What if we told you that you could become a poet for the night? In this inaugural workshop, we introduce the series and invite you to step out of your everyday routine. Join us for a relaxing evening where curious minds, poetic lines, and delicious wine come together.

Guided creative experience: Through curated prompts and reflective exercises, explore and engage with words in a playful and curious way, and leave with a piece of writing that speaks to your poetic heart.
No experience needed: You don't need to be an artist, a writer, or "good at art". The experience focuses on connection, self-expression, and creative exploration, rather than artistic outcome. Just come with an open mind and a willingness to try something new. This is a judgement-free zone!
Better with company: Bring a partner, friend, or come ready to meet someone new. Creative experiences are best shared with others.
All materials included: No need to bring anything, unless you have a favourite pen you really want to use!
Good vibes: Enjoy vinyl tunes and tasty wines poured by Barrique throughout the evening.
Opening night ticket: $10pp with wine by the glass available for purchase on the night.

Grab your ticket and join us to launch the series!

Limited spots available.

The event begins at 5:30pm. We encourage arriving 10-15 minutes early to settle in, get comfortable, and enjoy a glass of wine before we begin.

Please note: We’ll be taking a few photos and short snippets on the night to capture the atmosphere and help promote future events. If you'd rather stay out of the frame, just let us know when you arrive.
