Event description

The editors of Good Food, along with industry champions, are hosting the Good Food Hospitality Symposium presented by Lightspeed, in response to the growing challenges facing our beloved hospitality industry.

We’ve read the stories about the struggles facing restaurants, cafes and bars. Good Food is taking action and asking “What can we do about it?”

Join us in the conversation. Industry and the general public are invited to the first Good Food Hospitality Symposium presented by Lightspeed on Monday 24th of June.

Sydney panellists include:
Alessandro Pavoni, chef and restauranteur a’Mare,Ormeggio, Chiosco and Postino Osteria
Huss Rachin, co-owner of Bread Shoppe, Snack Shoppe and My Mother's Cousin
Palisa Anderson, Boon Lucky Farm and Chat Thai
Rebecca Fanning, director Arthur, Jane and Fior
Patrick Ryan-Parker, Senior Manager New Business Lightspeed

Date: Monday the 24th of June 2024
Time: from 5:30pm
Venue: Machine Hall Precinct, 183-185 Clarence Street, Sydney
Good Food Host: Callan Boys, editor of SMH Good Food Guide, restaurant critic for Good Weekend and Good Food writer

While the Good Food Hospitality Symposium is aimed at Australia’s hospitality industry, there will be a strong consumer focus, too.

Conversations will centre around the impact the rising costs of dining out is having on diners, and if that means they’re willing to take a gamble on new venues and new dishes, or stick to what they know.
