    About the speaker

Tristan Sternson is an Australian tech industry pioneer and CEO of multi-award-winning company, ARQ Group. ARQ is one of Australia’s leading providers of digital tech services, with a client base spanning Government, enterprise organisations, with more than half of Australia’s top 20 ASX-listed companies. He is also the co-lead of Singtel’s global digital tech firm, NCS NEXT.

A serial entrepreneur and growth expert, at the heart of Tristan’s decades-long career in IT, is his drive to create meaningful impact through digital technology solutions, including advisory, experience and design, and engineering and managed services.

Since being appointed CEO of ARQ in December 2019, Tristan’s leadership was pivotal in taking the business from an underperforming business to one of Australia’s greatest turnaround stories in three short years. This led to ARQ’s $290 million acquisition by Singtel subsidiary NCS in April 2022 – resulting in a 1900-person local workforce. Tristan has also established education programs including The Digital Experience (TDx) within the ARQ Academy pillar, which has had a direct impact on the nation’s tech skills shortage, and led to a 75 per cent growth in ARQ’s head count.
