Every CEO and COO knows the moment when strategy gets ahead of reality.

The growth plans are set. The ambitions are bold. But the systems, structures, and people needed to deliver them… aren’t quite there yet.

This month at The Alignment Forum: C-Suite, we’re exploring what happens when strategy outpaces capacity - and how senior operators navigate that stretch between vision and execution.

Hosted by Liz McMillan, Business & Executive Coach and Founder of The Cadence Method, this intimate discussion brings together operational leaders from across industries to unpack:

The hidden costs of scaling faster than your foundations can sustain.
How to balance short-term delivery with long-term structure.
The tension between ambition and bandwidth - and what alignment really demands of both.

Through candid conversation and shared perspective, we’ll look at what it takes to steady performance when the business is moving beyond than the systems that support it.

The evening combines free-flowing networking with guided conversation:

Arrival (30 mins): Connect over drinks and snacks. Each attendee receives a thought-provoking question card on the theme to spark reflection.
Facilitated Discussion (30 mins): A guided conversation where we share insights, experiences, and perspectives on leadership alignment.
Closing Networking (30 mins): Continue the dialogue, deepen connections, and expand your network.

Your ticket includes two drinks and light snacks. Guests will include People Executives from a wide range of industries across Brisbane - creating a rare opportunity to learn from peers outside your own sector.

We’ll gather in the lounge of the iconic Sixes and Sevens on James Street - a sophisticated yet casual Queenslander pub setting that sets the tone for insightful, supportive, and collaborative conversation.

This isn’t a panel or lecture. It’s a peer-to-peer dialogue - an enquiry into the leadership challenges and opportunities we share, and a chance to build meaningful connections across the People Executive community.
